Perfect for cutting to the size of your project, the Monk's cloth will need to be serged, zig zag stitched, or simply taped (we recommend painter's tape) on the edges to prevent fraying. Monk’s Cloth that is used for Punch Needle projects is a 2 x 2 weave structure, durable 100% cotton. Monk's cloth is produced with a white thread every 2" to help with getting your project straight. Remember to add 5” to all sides of your project for ease of use in your hoop or rug hooking frame. Ex: If your design is 14” x 14” you will want a 24” x 24” piece of Monk’s cloth and, of course, it needs to be large enough to fit in your frame. Custom sizes are available, just ask!
